Getting ready for Día de Muertos with a trip to @staterbros made everything so special and easy! Whether you’re building your altar or cooking family favorites, Stater Bros. is a one-stop shop for everything you need to celebrate and honor your loved ones. I picked up marigolds, a couple of themed potted plants, pan dulce, and some adorable sugar skull cookies from the bakery—all perfect additions to my altar. And let’s not forget tamales from the deli. Those are a must. One of the most personal touches on my altar this year is my grandmother’s favorite cold-weather drink—atole de nuez (pecan atole). I made it with ingredients I found at Stater Bros., like piloncillo, milk, vanilla, and pecans. Making this atole brings back so many memories of her, and I’m so grateful to share this tradition. Thanks to Stater Bros., I could find everything I needed in one place, without breaking the bank, making the preparation just as enjoyable as the celebration itself.
